Please note that our phone lines are especially busy on Monday mornings from 8am to 10am. If possible, call back later or use our online option.

Urgent appointment but not lift-threatening

If you feel that your problem is urgent, you should tell the receptionist and every effort will be made for you to be seen the same day.

If the doctor needs to see you in person or you would prefer a face-to-face appointment, we will invite you to come in.

To book

Telephone: 01732 770088

You will receive a telephone call on the day by an on-call doctor or physcians associate. This is a shorter appointment to deal with your urgent issue only. Please make sure that you have your phone with you to receive the call.

Extended Access

We also have extended access available. See our Out of Hours information.

Ways to book

1. Request an appointment online - This is the fastest way to request.

Our GP online system integrates with your medical record, improving access to care and appointments. While you can still call the surgery, the online form streamlines the process by asking the same questions. This provides you another option to contact us for medical issues, administrative requests, or simple questions.

2. Telephone: 01732 770088

When you call to book an appointment, our receptionists will ask for a brief description of your issue to direct you to the right care. For minor illnesses, we may suggest a same-day consultation with a community pharmacist, who can also refer you to other services if necessary.

Sickness Certificates (Fit Notes)

You must give your employer a doctor's 'fit note' (sometimes called a 'sick note') if you've been ill for more than 7 days in a row and have taken sick leave. This includes non-working days, such as weekends and bank holidays.

Home Visits

If possible, please try to telephone the reception before 10am if you require a home visit.

Telephone: 01732 770088

You will need to give the receptionist some details in order to help the doctors plan their schedules and give priority to the more urgent problems. These will include the name, address and age of the patient, the nature of the problem and access details if needed.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.

Change or cancel an appointment

Please give us as much notice as possible so we can offer your appointment to someone else.

To cancel your appointment:

  1. Phone us on 01732 770088
  2. Complete our appointment cancellation form
  3. Cancel using our online services
  4. Use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  5. Reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message

Out of hours

Enhanced Access - Evening Appointments

On three evenings a week (Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays), we run evening surgeries in Little Warders at our Tonbridge site. They run from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

These appointments are pre-bookable only, and are provided to allow better accessibility for those patients who struggle to get to see a Doctor during normal "in-hours" clinics.

Our phone lines are not on during this period.

Emergencies will continue to be dealt with by NHS 111, the Out of Hours Service, which is accessed by dialling 111.

Local Hubs - Weekend and Bank Holiday Appointments

On Sundays and Bank Holidays, a GP will be available between 9am to 12:30pm at a local hub.

In order to book these appointments, you contact your surgery reception staff as normal. You will not be able to phone the reception staff on Saturdays, Sundays / Bank Holidays or between 6pm to 8pm Monday to Friday.

Life Threatening

Call 999 or go to A&E now if:

  • you or someone you know needs immediate help
  • you have seriously harmed yourself – for example, by taking a drug overdose

A mental health emergency should be taken as seriously as a medical emergency.

Non-urgent

Use NHS 111 if:

  • You need help now, but it’s not an emergency
